Subscriptions have become a monthly tax, a monthly cost to live our internet-heavy lives- the cost we pay for music or our TV content.

It wasn’t always like this, and many subscription services have made our lives a lot easier- but the ultimate truth is subscriptions are getting people to spend more, a lot more than they used to.

That number is growing fast. I’m actually below the average. The average American spends $300/mo on subscription services, up from $237 in 2018 it’s not slowing down.

In the US, more households have Amazon Prime subscriptions than those who go to decorate a Christmas tree, or go to church, or have pets.

Subscriptions are a money machine!

Time Management Tips And Tricks For Busy People

It often seems as if there is never enough time in the day. How can you get everything done without feeling rushed or harried? With the right time management skills, you can take control of your schedule and have enough time for everything. Keep reading for some great tips on managing your time.

To better manage the time you have in a day, have a plan for it! Always sit down the night before and make a list of what you must get done. Prioritize everything on the list and cross tasks off one by one as you accomplish them. Get into this habit, and you should reach more goals and have more time in the day.

Consider a timer. If focus is causing you issues, set a timer for the exact amount of minutes you currently have at your leisure. Keep increasing the time until you are up to the amount of time that you want to be able to concentrate for.

If you’re always pressed for time, start trying to be early for everything. If you aim to be on time, even a little traffic can mess up your entire schedule by making you late. However, when you do your best to be early, you are often left with a little extra time, which you can then put to good use!

Take some time to schedule some time for your interruptions. You need to be able to plan some time that you can be taken away from from the tasks you’re working on. For instance, maintaining concepts similar to “office hours.” Office hours can be thought of as planned interruptions.

Plan your daily activities out. Make a schedule for your daily activities and stick to it. This will help eliminate stressful and last minute situations. You can make a daily to do list and put the most important things that you need to get done at the top of the list.

To help you reduce stress and stay on task plan each day’s activities. Plan the activities that you must complete daily by keeping a calendar. This will help ensure that you allot enough time for each activity. Additionally, this will help avoid scheduling conflicts that can create unnecessary stress.

Do not rush through your day. If you rush through things and make mistakes, it is going to take you far longer to fix those mistakes than it would have for you to do it right the first time. Slow and careful work will be more productive than rushed, sloppy work.

If you have a task that you have been dreading, break it up into several sittings. If you work on the project for ten or fifteen minutes at a time, you can get through it much easier. You will not have to dwell on the stress and pain that you are going through while doing it.

The time you spend planning your day can help you keep yourself on time throughout it. Devote a few minutes each morning to mapping out your tasks and appointments, giving yourself at least 10 minutes between each. This helps to avoid rushing, and should help you to manage the total time you have to work in the day better.

Organization is the friend of time management, so plan carefully to take full advantage of the hours of your day. Finish the most important tasks first so they are not creating stress in your life. Then use the rest of your time wisely, and do not forget to take time to relax.

Take some local classes on time management. You will learn not to deal with your time in a better way. You may find that your company actually offers classes, as it really can help with efficiency. If you have an employer that doesn’t offer these, try a local university or college.

If you have trouble managing your time, consider keeping a diary. For three days write down everything you do to pinpoint how you are spending your time. A diary will help you understand how much time you spend doing productive things and how much time you waste on unproductive conversations, thoughts and actions.

Learning to prioritize is an important skill. You need to be able to get the most important things done first. Some things absolutely have to be done by a certain time and some things can be done any time. So focus on the most critical tasks first and then worry about the little things.

Have a sit-down with yourself daily. The first half hour of your day is about strategy. You should build a list of priorities that balances your day. Do not overwhelm the list with more than your day can handle. If it is not a priority for today, consider it for tomorrow’s list and focus on higher priorities.

Managing a home, family and career can be very demanding. It is essential that you create a realistic plan that will help you organize your time and your energy effectively. If your children are old enough, assign age-appropriate household duties to them, and realize you are helping them learn to manage their time also.

Give yourself a goal time for each task in your day. Be realistic as you delegate your time. Set the times that you should finish each task by and do your best to stick to it. Do not feel rushed if time becomes an issue, since lesser priorities are scheduled later in the day.

Put your phone on “Do Not Disturb” if you really need to be efficient with your time. Phone calls are one of the biggest barriers to time management. You hear that phone ring, and the immediate impulse is to stop everything to answer. This can add minutes, if not more, to your projects.

Being able to manage your time properly is important if you want to succeed in life. The more control you have over your schedule, the more progress you will be able to make towards your goals. By implementing these time management tips in your life, you can start to control your life again.
